artist's notes:Tradition says that Mary Magdalene washed the feet of Jesus with her own tears. When the disciples complained, Jesus rebuked them and said, "She did what she was able to do."
Sometimes the deepest prayer is the prayer without words. Our very heart pours out through our tears - whether tears of grief, delight, or the overflow of emotion that can't be named.
