artist's notes: Initially designed as a present for my husband, and inspired by the coastal redwoods of northern California, this rosary would be appreciated especially by people who sense God's presence most keenly when they are in nature. Ideal for a hiker or rock climber!
elements:
8mm moss agate, black onyx, tiger eye, jasper. Available with gold-filled crucifix for an additional $25. Single-decade also available.

A little story...
I showed this design to the buyer at a local spiritual (new age-leaning but inclusive) store which carries lovely gifts, including a small selection of Catholic rosaries. She was concerned that Catholics might be offended, even though I tried to explain to her that we don't worship bears: the bear just reminds us of another element of God's creation, just as the moss agate reminds us of the beauty of the woods.
The next day, I showed my line to the store manager/buyer for a major Catholic gift store. Guess what her favorite design is?
Yes. (You are so smart!) The one you were just looking at!

The informed consumer knows...
All black onyx is dyed to achieve a consistently rich black color. In its natural state, onyx ranges from a milky white to a mixed black and grey.
